அன்புள்ள அருணா,
டெல்லி யை பற்றிய உனது கட்டுரை மிகவும் அருமை. உன்னுடைய நினைவுகளை அழகாக செதுக்கியிருக்கிறாய். உன் நண்பர்(பி)கள், ஆபீஸ், வீடு, என பல அழகிய பக்கங்கள் கொண்ட டெல்லி வாழ்க்கை மிக நன்றாக உள்ளது. பல கனவுகளுடன் டெல்லி வரும் ஒவ்வொரு இந்தியனும் காணும் மெல்லிய ரசனையை,மிக நேர்த்தியாக பிரதிபலித்துள்ளது உன் கட்டுரை. வாழ்த்துக்கள். உன் கருத்துக்களை மறுப்பதாக நினைக்க வேண்டாம். என் பார்வையிலும் டெல்லி மிக அழகான நகரம்.வாழும் மக்களும் இனிமையானவர்கள். அவரவர் அனுபவங்களே, அவர்களது வாழ்க்கை. என்னுடைய டெல்லி அனுபவம் மிக நல்ல விதமாக இருந்தாலும், நான் கவனித்த அல்லது கவனிக்கப்பட்ட, என்னைக்கவர்ந்த, ஈர்த்த, பாதித்த டெல்லி அனுபவங்களை (சற்று நீளமாக) தவறாக நினைக்க மாட்டாய் என எண்ணி எழுதுகிறேன்.

காலை ஆறு மணிக்கு எழுந்து,ஏழுக்கு ரெடியாகி, ஏழரைக்கு மாமி மெஸ்ஸில் வீட்டு இட்லி-ஐ விழுங்கி(கல் தோசை கேள்விப்பட்டிருப்பீர்கள் …கல் இட்லி..?). பிறகு சத் நகரில் இறங்கி பூசா ரோட், அஜ்மல்கான் ரோட், அர்யசமாஜ் ரோட் என சுமார் பதினைந்து நிமிடம் நடந்து ஏர் இந்தியா பஸ்-ஐ அரக்க பறக்கப்பிடித்து ஐ.ஜி.ஐ. ஏர்போர்ட் சென்று வேலை பார்த்து, பிறகு மாலை அதேப்போல் நடந்தது வந்து சத் நகரில் உள்ள ஒன் ரூம் செட்-ல் நங்கள் ஐவர் (எல்லோரும் பேட்சிலர்ஸ்) எங்களுக்கு தெரிந்த சமையல் கைவண்ணத்தை மற்றவருக்கு காண்பித்து இரவு கேபிள் டிவி பார்த்து மொட்டை மாடி தண்ணீர் தொட்டி மேல் படுத்து (வெயில் காலத்து ஏ.சி ரூம்), பல நாட்கள் ஒவ்வொரு மெஸ்ஸாக சாப்பாட்டிற்கு நாயாய் அலைந்து, இரவில் பல வேளை தெருவோர டாபா வில் காய்ந்த ரொட்டிகளை சப்ஜி வைத்து உள்ளுக்குள் திணித்து, சவுத் இந்தியன் சாப்பாடுக்காக ஏங்கிய நாட்கள் பல.(அப்பொழுது தான் புரிந்தது, நம் ஆட்கள்ளுக்கு நாக்கு மிகவும் நீளம் என்பதன் அர்த்தம்). கிடைத்த சொற்ப சம்பளத்தில் என் செலவுகள் போக வீட்டிற்கு மிக சொற்ப பணம் அனுப்பியதில் எங்கள் அப்பாவும் அம்மாவும் மகிழ்ந்து போவர்.
இப்படி ஒரு பேட்சிலராக பல கஷ்டங்கள் அனுபவித்து வாழ்க்கையின் பல பாடங்களை நான் கற்றுக்கொண்டது நமது தலை நகர் டெல்லியில் தான். தாங்க முடியாத வெயில்,உறைய வைக்கும் குளிர் என தட்ப வெப்பமும் தன் கடமையில் சற்றும் தளராது தன் பணியினை செய்து வாட்டி வதைக்கும். மெட்ராஸில் இருக்கும் வரை தமிழைப்பற்றி கவலை படாமல் இருக்கும் நாம் அனைவருக்கும், வெளிநாடு, வெளிமாநிலம் வந்தவுடன் அதிகரிக்கும் தமிழ் பற்று, எனக்கும் தொற்றிக்கொண்டு தீவிர தமிழ் ரசிகனாகி தமிழ் புத்தகங்கள்( குமுதம்,கல்கி, ஆனந்தவிகடன், கல்கண்டு) படித்து, ஒவ்வொரு ஞாயிறும் தவறாமல் தமிழ் திரைப்படம்( வாழ்க டெல்லி தமிழ் சங்கம்.!) பார்த்து, நானும் ஒரு (மர…!)தமிழன் என நிரூபித்து, “சாலா மதராசி” என சர்வ சாதரணமாக டெல்லி வாழ் பஞ்சாபி,குஜராத்தி,இன்னும் பல சேட் கம்னாட்டி-களின் பேச்சை கேட்டுக்கொண்டு பதில் சொல்லத்தெரியாமல்(முடியாமல்) வாழ்ந்த, இன்னமும் வாழும் பச்சை தமிழர்களில், “உங்களைபோல் நானும் ஒருவன்”.
இப்படி பல இன்னல்களை டெல்லி எனக்கு தந்தாலும், டார்வின்-ன் தத்துவமான “சர்வைவல் ஆப் தி பிட்டஸ்ட்” என்ன என்பதை டெல்லி தான் எனக்கு கற்றுக்கொடுத்தது. ஏழை மக்களின் அவலங்களை பிரதிபலிக்கும் பழைய டெல்லி, சிறு பைப்புகளில் தங்கள் வாழ்க்கை நடத்தும் பிச்சைக்காரர்கள், நடுங்கும் குளிரில் கிழிந்த சட்டையணிந்து சைக்கிள் ரிக் ஷா இழுக்கும் நோஞ்சான் சர்தார்ஜிகள் பார்க்க வேண்டுமா..? பழைய டெல்லி ரயில்வே ஸ்டேஷன் வாருங்கள்…ஏழ்மை என்றால் என்ன என்று முகத்தில் அறையும் காட்சி உங்களை அன்புடன் வரவேற்கும். அதே சமயம் நியூ டெல்லி பணக்காரர்களுக்கே சொந்தம்…பாலிகா பஜார் போன்ற எண்ணற்ற ஷாப்பிங் மால்-களும், ஸ்டார் ஹோட்டல்களும், ஒன்றை ஒன்று மிஞ்சும் வண்ண கட்டிடங்களும்,மெட்ரோ ட்ரெயின்,லம்போர்கினி, பெராரி,பென்ஸ் என சொகுசு கார்களின் அணிவகுப்புளும், இந்தியாவின் மிகப்பெரிய ஜனநாயகத் தோல்வியை உலகிற்கு பறை சாற்றும்.
குளிர் காலத்தில் அழகிய பூத்துக்குலுங்கும் மரங்கள், சுவையுள்ள அரிய பழங்கள், நாவிர்க்கினிய பல வகையான பால் ஸ்வீட்கள் ரசிக்க வைக்கும் இளவேனிற்காலம்,அழகிய சாலைகள், உயர்ந்த கட்டிடங்கள், திட்டமிடப்பட்டு நிர்மாணிக்கப்பட்ட நகரம் என்று எல்லோருக்கும் இனிய டெல்லி வாழ்க்கை எனக்கு ஏனோ பல விடையில்லா கேள்விகளாக மனதில் நிற்கிறது.
பஞ்சாபி, குஜராத்தி,பிஹாரி,ஜாட்,தமிழன்,தெலுங்கன், மலையாளி,கன்னடிகா, பெங்காலி என எல்லோரும் கலந்து வாழும் டெல்லி யில் யார் இந்தியர்..?
டெல்லி யில் நம் கண்ணெதிரிலே காணப்படும் பொருளாதார ஏற்றத்தாழ்வுகளுக்கு யார் காரணம்…?
டெல்லி பழைய ரயில் நிலையத்தில் பிச்சை கேட்கும் அந்த பச்சிளம் குழந்தைகளின் எதிர்காலம் எப்படி இருக்கும்…?
டெல்லி பார்லிமென்ட் கொடியவர்களின் கூடாரமானது ஏன்…?

This is a real Story..

Once there was News Paper Company called "AAA AAAAA" which was No.1 Indian News paper Company in India. It was having its wings all over India and worldwide. In fact, Indians settled worldwide read only this News Paper, because of the reason that, its News were very authentic, having Indian flavor and non biased.

The News Paper Company had 3 shifts working with the latest Efficient Machines to print the paper. Even though the volume of the Print touched in millions, printing time was reduced because of Efficient Machines and its error free performance. hence,for almost 2 shifts, the machines where were kept free by the Management.

Seeing this, the Top Management Team suggested to the Proprietor of the Company that, to get more printing work for those Machines,which were free for longer duration. Instead of increasing the Circulation of their own News Paper, they have suggested to the Proprietor to get orders from Other Print Media Companies from various Countries, which were struggling to lay their foot in India, to increase their printing capacity due to lack of Efficient Machines in their Factories and also lack of support from Public.

The Proprietor of Indian Company did not question them back as to what would be the fate of their own News Paper? and without a vision, agreed to his Management Team, and allowed them take up the outsourced work from the Global Print Media. Further the Proprietor from his side, to boost and Cheer up the Global Print Media, accepted to withdraw his own News Paper from some of the neighbouring countries and also reduced his stakes in Indian market, given his rights to New Customers in order to gain their goodwill.

With the suggestions of Management, the Efficient Machines where fully utilised in all the 3 shifts and printed News Paper to their maximum Capacity. Because of the best Quality of Machines work, low cost in production, and peoples need(because of the absence of the original News Paper) other print companies were gained confidence and increased their Circulation and held their feet firmly in Indian soil and also world wide,and their Advertisement revenues rose up suddenly.

Because of the increase in Circulation, other country companies were making huge profits and they have started dictating terms to the Indian News Paper Company, raised their Circulation beyond the capacity of the Efficient Machines. At the same time the Management of Indian Company, without realizing that their Circulations and their Advertisement revenue and the Peoples support were declining down very steeply, they tried to deploy the Efficient Machines to work round the Clock continuously.

The Management with the concurrence from the Proprietor had purchased large Number of New Printing Plants with high cost, without having proper planning, thinking that they can increase their circulation in the countries, where Indians live less in numbers.

The Management's Plans went for a Six, because, they had been dominated completely by other News Paper Companies and people from India and other parts of the world have patronized and were become loyal to other countrys' News Paper companies.

At this point of time, the Top Management and the Proprietor of Indian News Company felt the pinch, because the cash inflow was very weak and were not in a position to pay the Monthly Maintenance Charges for the Efficient Machines, which required full overhauling due to long and continuous work pattern. The Proprietor even postponed the Monthly Maintenance for 03 months and did the Maintenance not in a regular time frame of every 01st day of the Month. Some times he did it on 7th,10th, 15th or 20th of the month.

The Proprietor had to take Loan from the Banks to pay the Monthly Maintenance Charges for his Efficient Machines, which have worked the for the company several decades.

The Proprietor and Management realised their mistakes, but it was too late. The Company was sinking and the Efficient Machines were completely worn out (Demoralised). The Losses were not proportionate to their Annual Turnover.

The Proprietor admitted that it was the Mistakes of both the Management and Proprietor that,

to blame the Machines for their losses,

to allow the other countrys' Print companies to intrude in their territory,

to reduce the Indian Company's Stakes in India,

to withdraw the News paper from the other Countries were Indians live,

to overfeed the company with the new Print Plant with high cost investment and interest exceeding the capacity,

to plan without foreseeing the future of the company.

Is there any hope for the company to survive?

Yes, Still there is....HOPE, If the Proprietor and Management do their plan with the vision and with full interest to revive the company.

The Efficient Machines are still ALIVE and in WORKING CONDITION and ALWAYS READY to DO WORK with FULL THROTTLE....!

What is the charge on Shri.Anna Hazare. Does Anna Hazare asked for a share in 2G Scam money or CWG Scam?

The Arrest of Anna Hazare shows that the Congress government is now showing its real colour that they are being led by the European autocratic leadership.

The arrest clearly shows that our PM is totally inefficient, ineffective, part to the Corruption by being inactive, when the country is looted to the tune of over 1laks 76 thousand crores in 2G scams and around 45 thousand crores in CWG Scam, by the Ministers under his nose. He is just a puppet to their European Leader, sitting and watching the crimes without taking any initiative to curb the corruption.

What is the problem for the congress in listening to the civil society, after all the government and parliament is for the people of India. People of India is not for the government and parliament or any other persons sitting in the parliament.

Just because, they have been elected for being MP by using Money power and muscle power, that doesn’t mean that they can do things on their own. It is for the people of India to decide, what law is required to eradicate the corruption, which is deeply gone through the roots of our country.

Let the government come out openly, to the public with their Lok Pal Bill and as well as Jan Lok Pal Bill to the People of India and have referendum. The People of India will decide on which Bill is required and appropriate for the present day.

என் தமக்கையின் வலைத்தளத்தில்,எங்கள் தாயின் மறைவைப்பற்றி, அவர் எழுதிய மின் அஞ்சலுக்கு, நான் எழுதிய கடிதம் (அவரை தேற்றவும், என்னை நானே தேற்றிக்கொள்ளவும்..)

மிகவும் நன்று. மிகையில்லை… அருணா.,

எண்ணங்களின் ஆழம் மிக மிக அதிகம். உள்ளது உள்ள படி கூறுவது மிக கடினம். இந்தப் பதிவில் நம் அம்மாவைப் பற்றி, உன்னுடைய எண்ணங்களை கவிதை நயத்துடன், நம் ஆற்றாமையை நீ விவரித்தது புரிந்தும், நீ கேட்ட கேள்வி புரிந்தும்,என்னால் அந்த கேள்விக்கு விடை காண முடியவில்லை. முற்றுப்புள்ளி இல்லாத வாக்கியம் முழுமையடைவதில்லை என்று பல சமாதானங்கள் நாம் கூறிக்கொண்டாலும், சில பல முறண்பாடுகள் நிறைந்த நம் அனைவர் வாழ்க்கை, இன்பம்,துன்பம், சுகம் துக்கம், என மாறி மாறி வருவது என நம் மனதை நாமே தேற்றிக்கொண்டாலும், நாம் மிகவும் நேசித்த அம்மா, நம்மை விட்டு சென்று விட்டார் என்று என்னால் இந்த நிமிடம் வரை நம்ப இயலவில்லை. காலச்சக்கரம் ஒன்றே நம் அனைவருக்கும் மருந்தாகும்

கடவுளிடம் பக்தியை கற்றோம்..!,குருவிடம் வித்தையை கற்றோம்..!,தந்தையிடம் நேர்மை,வாழ்க்கை நெறிமுறை கற்றோம்..!, ஆனால் தாயிடம் மட்டும் எதையும் கற்கவில்லை…., பாசத்தை உணர்ந்தோம்…!ஆம்..உலகில் நாம் அனைவரும் பிறந்த நாள் முதல், தாயின் கடைசி நாள் வரை, பாசத்தை அனுபவிக்கிறோம்…!

இந்த ஒரு சொல், நாம் எல்லாருடைய வாழ்க்கையிலும் சர்வ சாதாரணமாக அறியப்பட்ட ஒரு வார்த்தை. மதம்,மொழி,இனம்,நிறம்,கண்டம் என அனைத்தையும் கடந்து, உலகில் உள்ள மனிதர்கள் பயன்படுத்தும் ஒரு சொல். இதன் மகத்துவத் தத்துவதிலேயே இந்த உலகம் இயங்குகிறது. கடவுளைத் தேடித்தேடி மனிதன், கடைசியில் தன் தாயிடம், கடவுளைக் காண்கிறான். இருக்கும் பொழுது இதை அறியாத மனம், இழந்த பொழுது அழுது துடிக்கிறது….!

எங்கள் அம்மா…அனைத்து உயிர்களிடமும் அன்பு கொண்டவர். எங்கள் ஐவரையும்(எங்கள் தந்தையையும் சேர்த்து)கண்ணும் கருத்துமாக பார்த்துக்கொண்டவர். சிறு வயது முதல், நான் வசிகரிக்கப்பட்ட ஒரே முகம், அது என் தாயின் முகம்.அந்த ஒரு காரணமாகவே, என் மனைவின் முகத்தில், என் தாயின் சாயல் தெரிந்தால்,உடனே என்னால் அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்டு, என் மனைவியானாள்.

எல்லா பிள்ளைகளும்,தன் தாயைப்போற்றுவது இயற்கை. ஆனால், எல்லாக் கணவர்களும், தன் மனைவியைப் போற்றுவதில்லை.(விதி விலக்குகள் உண்டு).கணவன், மனைவிக்குள்ளே சண்டைகள் வருவது வழக்கமான ஒன்று. ஆனால் எங்கள் அம்மாவும்,அப்பாவும் சண்டைப்போட்டு நாங்கள் பார்த்ததே கிடையாது. காரணம், அப்பா எவ்வளவு கோபமாக பேசினாலும், அம்மா தன் அப்பாவித்தனத்தால் பதில் பேசாமலேயே மெளனமாக வென்றுவிடுவாள், அம்மாவின் மெளனத்திலும் ஒரு அர்த்தம்…!, சோகத்திலும் ஒரு அழகு…!சிரிப்பிலோ…இறைவன்…!

இப்படி அம்மாவின் பல பிம்பங்கள் என் மனத்தில் நீங்காமல் நிலைக்கொண்டுள்ளதாலோ என்னவோ..நம் அம்மா, நம்மை விட்டு பிரிந்துவிட்டார் என்று என்னால் நினைக்கமுடியவில்லை. அம்மா நம் அனைவரின் மனதிலும் வாழ்ந்து நம்மை நல்வழி நடத்துவார்….

Dear friends… if you vote for me in the forthcoming assembly election,and make me the Chief Minister, I assure you, the following items are free for all..

1.All the schools will be nationalised and free education for all children.My son and a farmer’s son will be classmates not glass mates…!

2.All colleges(Arts,Science,Engineering,Medical) will be nationalised and no more capitation fees will be collected..No Captain’s fees…!

3.All Hospitals will be nationalised. All the citizens will come under the insurance cover. No more cash transactions in hospitals right from common flu to any major surgery. One single treatment for one ailment for anybody.No chance of me going to US for my knee surgery and poor rikshaw puller waiting for 6 months for his heart valve replacement.

4.Water resources will be nationalised and all municipality water plants will have RO system.

5.All farm lands will be nationalised. All farmers will become government employees with 6th pay commission pay scale. No more Middle man in between the farmers and people.

6.All road Contractors will join in Roadways department for monthly salary. Government will lay Roads,build bridges, subways,Storm water drains,drainage systems etc., No more road contractors.

7.Revenue generated through entertainments like cinema, cricket,alcohol etc., will be taxed 50 percent.

8.All telecom companies will be nationalised. No more fighting for 2G or 3G. All revenue will be spent for the development projects(Not mine,but for the nations’).

9.All supermarkets like Big Bazaar,Sky Bazaar,Reliance Fresh,More,etc., will be made as Fair Price Shops.

10.Unique Identity Card will be issued within 6 months to all, without any charges.

UIC is a must carry for all right from the labour room to cemetery.

And much more in my manifesto. These are the few fundamental basic rights of each and every citizen of India, according to our constitution..!

சிந்தனைகள்

உண்மை சுடும் என்பது நிதர்சனம். யாராக இருந்தாலும், நம்முடைய அகந்தை சற்றே அசைவுற்றாலும், நம்மால் அதை பொறுத்துக்கொள்ள முடிவதில்லை. முன்னால் கூறிய அனைத்து தவறுகளுக்கும் நாம் அனைவரும் பெறும் பங்கு வகிக்கின்றோம். எவ்வாறு?

சற்றே நம் வரலாற்றை மொகலாய, ஆங்கிலேய காலங்களுக்கு முன்னால் கற்பனை செய்து பார்தால், நாம் அனைவரும் கற்கால, பிற்க்கால சேர, சோழ, பாண்டிய, பல்லவ, மற்றும் பல மன்னர்களால் ஆளப்பட்டு, தொழில்,மொழி அடிப்படையில் பிரிந்து, பிற்க்காலத்தில் சாதிகளாக மாறி பிரிந்து வாழ்ந்து வந்தோம். மொகலாய, ஆங்கிலேய காலங்களின் பின் சாதிகளுடன், மத அடிப்படையில் பிரிந்து, இன்னாள் வரையில், சாதி, மத வேறுபாட்டிற்க்கு ஒரு குறையுமில்லாமல், வட இந்தியா, தென்னிந்தியா, இந்து,முஸ்லிம்,கிறிஸ்துவம், என சில சொற்ப எண்ணிக்கை கையாலாகாத காரணங்களினால் பிரிந்து, நம்மை நாமே ஏமாற்றிக்கொண்டு வாழ்ந்து வருகின்றோம்.

China gains by ban on plastic bags

BEIJING: A little more than one year after a nationwide ban on plastic bags came into force, China has saved the equivalent of three million tonnes of crude oil thanks to a huge reduction in the use of plastic, said a government agency.

Last June, the government introduced a nationwide ban on the use of ultra-thin plastic bags (those thinner than 0.025 mm) and stopped all supermarkets from giving away free bags. The move surprised many given China’s poor record with environmental issues and few countries, even in the West, have introduced similar bans.

Since then, the use of bags has fallen by two-thirds in China’s stores, according to the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the country’s top economic planning body.

The ban has saved the country 40 billion plastic bags in the past 12 months, estimates the China Chain Store and Franchise Association.

“White pollution”, a term used here to describe the huge consumption and wastage of plastic, is becoming a growing problem in China. China consumes more plastic bags than any other country, using 37 million barrels of crude oil on plastic bag production every year. The NDRC said the ban has now saved between 2.4 million and 3 million tonnes of crude oil, and would also cut carbon dioxide emissions by up to 9.6 million tonnes annually.

For a country that consumes a million tonnes of oil a day, the reduction is still a drop in the ocean. But environmental groups and conservationists here have still welcomed the ban, arguing that the larger and more important message is raising the low public awareness of environmental issues.

The ban has also been far from ubiquitous. Enforcement has been limited to supermarkets, which face regular inspections and 5000 Yuan (Rs. 35,000) fines, though street-side shops still give away free bags. But with stores now charging 0.20 Yuan (Rs. 1.40) for a bag, it has become increasingly common to see shoppers in Beijing and Shanghai bring their own cloth bags to stores, a practice that was unheard of in China a year ago.

“For us to address our environmental problems, the first step is public awareness,” says environmental activist Wu Dengming, who has fought a number of high-profile water pollution cases. “The biggest challenge is getting people to understand environmental issues and raise awareness, and that’s slowly beginning to change.”

The ban was one of a number of small-scale, local-level steps China announced this past year to reduce energy consumption.

The government has in recent months also announced subsidies for the purchase of energy-efficient home appliances, and launched large-scale energy conversion campaigns in Beijing and Shanghai to replace incandescent bulbs with energy-friendly alternatives.

But there is still a lot more the country has to do if it is to achieve its ambitious target of procuring one-fifth of all its energy needs from renewable sources by 2020.

Instead of shouting and crying for increase in the price of petrol and diesel, each one of us should think of saving petrol and diesel by using two wheeler and cars, only when it is very essential time, and start using Public transport.

Indian government at least from now onwards should start encourage our people to use public transport like bus and train by giving vide publicity to use public transport by increasing the frequencies.It is high time to rationalise and modernize the public transport system. By doing so, we can save lot of fuel as the number of two wheelers and four wheelers have increased in abnormal ratio and it is heading for a big blast in the near future in our country. Our government is directly responsible for the huge demand in petroleum products requirement in our country, by giving scopes and undue advantages, facilities to the two and four wheeler companies, which are not at all bothered about Indian economy. On one side, these companies are making huge profits and opening new plants in nook and corner of our country and introducing a new model/variant of vehicle every day to lure the common man.

Hereafter our government should pass a bill, not to give any subsidy to petroleum products as the gap between the actual price and the subsidized price widening day by day. Our main expenditure goes to petroleum products in foreign exchange, which results in sudden rise of inflation rate. To retain the vote bank all the political parties coming to power are not at all considering this big revenue loss, because of the fact that they may have to loose the election,if they cut down the subsidy for petroleum products. The subsidy which is being wasted for petroleum products can be utilized in a better way to improve lakhs of villages and crores of farmers and for the poor children, who are the real future and back bone of India and Indian economy.

Terrorism is now deeply rooted in our country.

I would like to emphasis strongly that, it is humanly impossible for the police to secure each and every point of our country fromterrorists. But a photo Identity card similar to the credit card with magnetic stripe embedded with all relevant information about the person may be issued to all the citizen of our country and make it a rule that one must carry the Photo ID card always. Stringent action must be taken for those who failed to carry the card. Also entry must be restricted in all the important places like temples, auditorium, travel places like bus stand, railway station, airport etc., Those who carry Photo ID card must only be allowed to enter the above places,after swiping the card in the entrance, where we can have a track ofpeople who enters at the particular time.

ATTITUDE OF INDIANS AND NON RESIDENTIAL INDIANS (NRIS)

I am working in Chennai Airport since the year 1996. I have come across several people during my work hours. I generally find most of the Indians, who go abroad for the first time with work permit were very polite and innocent also ignorant. But after few trips, once they settle down in abroad, they think that, they are above all and having one foot step atop above the earth.I have noticed this attitude in several Indians, especially the so called NRIs(our Friend). I have seen many people, who after alighting from the flight, the first thing they used to do is to lit a Cigarette, which is completely banned in the entire airport and a specific place has been earmarked for smokers. But OUR FRIEND WILL NOT CARE FOR THE SIGN BOARD. He would do whatever he wants to do.

While waiting to collect his baggage, our Friend will litter all unwanted papers from his pockets as a time pass. Chennai being a small Airport, compared to US and UK airports, where one need more time to reach the Baggage area, after clearing immigration formalities, but in Chennai within no time you will reach the Baggage area. Here I have to mention about the infrastructure of our airport. Our Arrival Hall comprises of 03 conveyer Belt, where the baggage will be offloaded. Usually in one flight there may be several containers will be with baggage, our Friend will not be patient enough to collect his baggage, which may be in the first or in last container. If our friend gets his baggage soon,then it is well and good. If not, that’s it. Our friend will jump from earth to sky.

Missing baggage is a common phenomenon in all the airlines around the world due to several internal and external factors, for which all the airlines spend a huge amount of money towards compensation,for tracing baggage and for bringing it to the passenger. I totally accept that one will find it very difficult to reach his place or another country without his personal effects. But our friend, if he looses his bag, immediately he shouts loudly that, “In all countries except in India, we get our bags, when we go to the arrival hall after clearing immigration, it will be kept readily. In India it is not so. Damn India….!”. This type of shouting will immediately come from our friend. One thing our friend fails to understand. It is because of the efficient workers behind the Check-in area, the bags go into the right container and our friend gets his bags promptly at his destination. When he has not received his bags here in Chennai, it is not our mistake, but the mistake of the so called efficient people of other country.

Here in India we have got every thing. What is missing in our country is only one thing...HONESTY...! Honesty is the quality that has become the rare commodity in our country. Anybody for that matter. People think that, if they are honest, others will label them as a Fool. There is a misconception exists that, if you are honest, people say, you are not smart. Everybody think that, smart people do things quickly and they don’t mind going out of the way for doing things. Nobody wants to wait in the queue, from the Check in counters, Immigration line to the baggage collection area, in the Bus Stop and in the Railway Reservations Counters,traffic signal,while driving and even at the place of worshipping god, one thinks that he has to go out of the way and do things. Our friend doesn’t want to wait in the Traffic Signal or while driving on the road, he overtakes vehicles by crossing Yellow Line. All Statutory warnings are there in our country. But in practical life it is the fact that in our country Law makers are themselves the Law breakers. No exceptions. It is very sad on our part to accept that, every one in our country including myself doing the best of our services to our nation by breaking the rules at least in the smallest of the small matters.

No country exist without any citizen of that country. It is people who make city, state, and country. Without understanding this, there is no point in cursing or comparing our country with the developed countries. It is high time to change our attitude. Attitude has to be changed only from the root,for that we need Hundred per Cent education. Everybody should be educated to know what is individual values, which only can change our attitude. For being literate, one should be without hungry. For that, all the Government programs should reach the very last common man. This will happen only when the people in power are with clean hand and corruption free. But no Politician or Political party can run without raising Party Fund. When a party is asking for Party Fund from the Industrialists,would they not expect something in return from the politicans who is coming to power? How can the people in power be clean and corruption Free, and how can they implement the welfare programs for common man after being lured by the Industrialists?

When a political party spends crores of rupees in the Election to come to the power,do they really do service to the nation,after getting the key position in the government? Not only they take back the amount they spent for the election,but also they will ensure that, they earn money for their generations and future elections....!

Hence only when a corruption free Political Party, which does not raise Party Fund through the Illegal and unwanted resources, rules the country, in that period everything will Change….! That time we can claim and be proud to say that WE ARE INDIANS…..!

Man has been created by god to live happily and let other living beings also to live their life peacefully. But what are we doing? For our personal gains we are using everything available in this world and throw them out once we use it.

Man is dependent on all living/non-living things. Without them one cannot survive in this world.We cannot make a single meal without using any of this naturally available on this earth.

But we do not care for them. From today onwards I have made pledge to look this world with love and care. I have decided not disturb anything that is there on the earth. I hope everyone will think in this line and would work in the way that they do not affect the other living/non living things in this world.

I wish everybody should contribute to this world to live better in future.

Everyone should at least plant one TREE in his life time to save earth.

Let us plant Trees and Save earth.

TERRORISM

This refers to the recent Bomb blast in Mumbai. I am really pained to see that, everybody mentioning about the courage of Mumbaikars and not mentioning it as the Courage of the whole Indians. By the way of expressing feelings itself we are divided into a lot of divisions like North/South, religious/caste based groups and not united as Indians. That is why Terrorism has taken a big ride in our country. Atleast now, we should stand together and fight to curb terrorism and should not fall into the cheap trade of regional/religious/caste based feelings. Let us all unite together and say a Big NO to TERRORISM, which may come in any form.

It is high time that we should install CCTV in the sensitive places, but this is not at all enough. We should have some other method to make people accountable for their activities. I suggest that an Identity Card with photograph should be issued to all citizens of India and the ID card should be made mandatory for all, and should be in possession always. ID Card should be issued like Credit Card have Magnetic Strip, which should have all the details like Name,Fathers Name, Mothers Name,Date of Birth, complete Address, Phone No., Blood group, Educational Qualifications etc., with photograph in the form of DATA Bank. It can be made mandatory to swipe the ID Card in each of the important entry points like Railway Stations, Bus Terminus,Airport,Religious places and even in the Educational Institutions and work places and entry should be denied without the ID Card. This will not only help to restrict unwanted people to enter into the sensitive places but also very useful to identify persons in the Emergency situations. Definitely this exercise going to cost not more than the cost what we paid for terrorism.
